Education Services
The Educational Services Department supports our school sites with a wide variety of teaching and learning services, programs, and resources. The focus is on standards-based instructional programs that build on the skills and knowledge of each student. Student learning is enhanced by the instructional materials, assessments, online learning, technology, and professional development resources that support and assist students and teachers in their pursuit of excellence.

The Education Services Department is committed to providing services and programs to support the success of our students, staff, administrators, parents, and community. We strive to reach the goals set by our Governing Board to:

Establish and prepare a District Leadership Team to initiate site-based Professional Learning Communities in 2010-11

Enhance existing systems in Grades 7-12 to increase student readiness for college entrance, as part of a continuum toward a K-12 model

To improve student performance in K-12 mathematics and encourage more high school students to continue enrollment in math courses through Grade 12

To improve literacy of K-12 students through independent reading strategies, with a stronger focus on lexile-appropriate materials for students in Grades K-8

To utilize existing technology resources to enhance student learning.
