G.E.D. High School Equivalency Test Preparation
Tues.

Fee: No charge for preparation, $6.00 per pre-test, $35.00 per test

 

Our GED Center is available for test preparation. Based on results of practice tests, students can determine whether they are ready to take the official High School Equivalency Exams. We have Math and English tutors available to help students prepare on Tuesday evenings from 4:00 -6:00pm. Pre-registration and a reading assessment is required and our center is open Tuesdays, 4:00 – 7:00pm, this is an open entry/open leave. We are a Pearson Vue authorized testing center and offer the GED exam via computer. To sign up for the GED Tests you must first register through www.GED.com, this can be done at our GED Center. All test scheduling and payments are done through the GED website. The GED exam consists of four parts: Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science and Social studies. The cost is $35.00 per exam or $140 for all four parts. More information can be found on the www.ged.com website.

Adults can earn a High School diploma from Ramona Adult School upon successful completion of 190 credits. All new and returning adult education students who want to complete their high school diploma must register, complete a reading assessment and meet with our Registrar to discuss options and schedule classes. If you are a new student to the Ramona Adult Diploma program it is important you bring a copy of your high school transcript if possible, no appointment is necessary.

Train for the high demand, high wage welding career. Course includes:
SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding)
GMAW (Gas Metal Arc welding)
GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
All four welding positions will be taught (Flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead) which prepare students for the American Welding Society certification.
Plasma cutting and Oxyfuel cutting are included
Techniques and practices are introduced to assist students in welding a variety of materials including sheet, shapes, and repairs. Instructor AWS certifications :(FCAW-SS) All positions, (SMAW) Vertical and overhead, (GTAW) Horizontal and vertical

Learn how to build a 2 seater bench and take it home with you at the end of class! Learn how to measure and layout materials using feet, inches, fractions and metric measurements, safety instruction on proper use of tools and equipment used in the construction industry, identify and properly use power tools.
