The role of parents in their children’s education greatly impacts their success in school. Our attitudes about education and our involvement with our children can inspire and model the importance for lifelong learning for our students.
Ramona Unified School District believes strongly in welcoming parents into the learning community both on and off campus. Through district committees, volunteer opportunities, PTA, district feedback surveys, attendance at school events, and even parent focus groups, RUSD strives to encourage parents to take a hands-on approach to their children's education.
Our Governing Board has specifically outlined this belief in our District Priorities:
PARENTS AS PARTNERS – COMMUNITY COLLABORATION
We value the families in our community and believe that student success is our primary product. The education of our children is a community responsibility, requiring families, businesses, and service organizations to provide support and to participate actively in our schools.
