New Student Registration is open for the 2020-2021 school year!
If you have a new student entering our district for the first time, or is returning to RUSD after transferring out of our district, click on the appropriate academic year button at the bottom of this page to complete the online registration process. Please note: Do not use these links to complete back-to-school forms for an existing student. See the bottom of this webpage for more info.

PowerSchool Parent Account Help
If you need help setting up your Parent Account for Back-to-School purposes, visit the Parent Account section of this website for troubleshooting and extensive FAQ's. Still need help? Contact the front office of your school site during regular office hours (closed July). Only the school sites provide parent account support. Be sure to take the time to create these accounts when your school site is open to provide support.
Before you begin online registration for a new student:
Please set aside approximately 45 minutes to complete the online form. Before you begin, you may want to gather the following:
Family medical history
Emergency contact information – trusted adults the school can contact if parents/guardians cannot be reached
- Scans/Images of Birth Certificate, Immunization Records, Photo ID, and proof of residency documents. Document uploads are optional during online registration; however very necessary when staff is not available to hold registration appointments during closures.
- For 10th, 11th and 12th graders - please provide a copy of your student's unofficial transcripts.
If you have any questions regarding the questions included in the registration process, please contact your child’s school during regular office hours (closed July).
If you require technical support when registering a NEW student, please visit our PowerSchool Community at help.powerschool.com. The Chat Support feature offers 24/7 support for technical issues you may be experiencing. Additionally, Chat Support is available in Spanish from 7am-5pm EST. Although Chat Support is the preferred method of support from PowerSchool, users can call 866-434-6276 for registration technical support. PowerSchool Support is for technical questions only; they will not be able to give you your snapcode or answer any school specific registration questions. Contact the front office of your school site for non-technical registration questions.
Click the BLUE button below for the FUTURE 2020-2021 academic year. Please note, there are times when two academic school years are open. Each academic year will have a different registration link. Erroneous registrations do not transfer and will be deleted; take the time to read and select the correct registration link.
The back-to-school registration process opens annually on July 15th and is handled through your PowerSchool Parent Account - NOT here. Included in this existing student back-to-school process are all matriculating students from feeder schools. For example, if your 6th grade elementary student is promoting to 7th grade at OPMS, you will access these forms from your PowerSchool Parent Account. If your 8th grade middle school student is promoting to 9th grade at RHS, you will access these forms from your PowerSchool Parent Account. If your ESK student is promoting to Kindergarten at your boundary school, you will access these forms from your PowerSchool Parent Account. These forms open annually on July 15th. DO NOT COMPLETE A NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION FOR A PROMOTING STUDENT; current students will be deleted from this NEW registration site.
