Title I

Title I funding is part of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act/No Child Left Behind. Its purpose is to provide extra funding to eligible schools for programs to improve the achievement of academically at-risk students. Title I funded schools are either targeted assistance schools or school-wide program schools. Schools are eligible to receive Title I funds based on the percent of families in the school who qualify for Free/Reduced lunch.
